Regional Airport Projects

Fox & Associates, Inc. has wide-ranging experience working in, on and around airports. We have worked with the following respected Airport engineers: Delta Airport Consultants, Inc., URS Corporation and Airport Design Consultants, Inc (ADCI). The following are examples of our airport surveying experience.

Hagerstown Regional Airport, MD (HGR)

  • We prepared a boundary survey of the Hagerstown Airport and established survey control around the perimeter. Adjoining properties were surveyed to determine and define Obstacle Free Zones including preparation of descriptions and exhibits for obtaining easements or acquiring properties. Topographic mapping was prepared for design of runway expansion and layout was performed for preparation of construction documents. During the construction phase, stakeout of improvements was performed.

Frederick Municipal Airport, MD (FDK)

  • Fox & Associates, Inc. prepared a boundary and topographic survey of the Frederick Airport and adjoining properties for design and calculation of airport improvements. Including runway extension, obtaining easements or property rights, determine flight obstructions and other required surveys. Fox completed a consolidation plat approval process with the City of Frederick. The purpose of which was to consolidate over 30 separate parcels of land the City owned into distinctive use parcels to assist with more easily obtaining State and Federal funding.

Culpepper Regional Airport, VA (CJR)

  • Fox & Associates, Inc. prepared the required topographic surveys for runway and taxiway reconstruction and expansion at the airport. 1,000 feet of roadway in order to improve the operating characteristics of the facility. Relocation of the roadway required the construction of multiple large corrugated metal pipe arch structures at each of two locations. In addition, this realignment resulted in localized cuts of as much as eight (8) feet in height and fills of three (3) feet or more.

Lancaster Airport, PA (LNS)

  • Fox & Associates, Inc. prepared topographic surveys for airport layout plans, runway extension and taxiway reconstruction.

Easton/Newnam Field Airport, MD (ESN)

  • Fox & Associates, Inc. has preformed numerous topographic surveys for runway and taxiway reconstruction and expansion.
